Hi guys,

Thank you for the new forum! God bless you all.

About the logo. If you look at this logo here http://rubyonrails.o...mages/rails.png you see how the rail is wider from below... and as it goes further, it becomes narrow gradually. Looks nice. Looks real.

Now look at our forum's logo. It seems it was made in Microsoft Paint.

We need to get it made by a graphics guy.

Thanks for your feedback. Sorry you don't like it. I have no plans to change it, however.

Great!

And one more thing, even the curve is wrong. It looks like the rail was straight, then someone rigid like you tried to bend it. And gave it the shape of a boomerang.

What exactly do you mean by 'someone rigid like you'?

You can't just take the RoR logo and copy it or even derive something from it because DHH owns the copyright and trademark to it and it's been well publicized that unless he's involved, he does not grant anyone the right to use it.

I for one think the RF logo is okay.

Adam, I said that because your comment sounded too rigid:

...Sorry you don't like it. I have no plans to change it, however.

that sounded like:

You don't like it? Sorry. Deal with it. I won't change it.

Anyway. Nevermind. Let's leave it.

Thank you Tom. I did not know about the copyright thing.

Let's forget about it. It was silly of me to start this topic.

This is the precise reason we created something new :)
