help on installing ruby on rails in windows 7 home 64 bit machine

Hi All,

 

Could you please help in installing ruby on rails in windows 7 (64 machine). I tried installing however, unable to Rails server. Is there any steps which I need to follow during installation.

Go to http://railsinstaller.org/, scroll to the 'Downloads' section, and download the RailsInstaller for Windows

 

Click on the downloaded file to run the install wizard. Click Next at each step to accept the defaults, documented in Installing Rails on Windows

I'm a huge fan of RailsInstaller for Windows users. It's worth following these instructions for up to date guidance.

getting the below error when running gem install MySQL. Could someone pls help.

Installing MySQL gem on windows can be a little tricky. You will have to download the MySQL Connector from the MySQL website and use it during installation.
