I'll admit, I cannot.
I could probably write a beginner's book on programming quite comfortably. I'd go so far as to say I have a deep understand of some of the more advanced concepts such as classes, instances and inheritance.
I can create simple-intermediate rails projects with ease.
Saying this, I cannot decipher other people's code to save the life of me. I mean talk about jumping in the deep end here, but I'm trying to get a handle on this project:
And it just makes me feel like a beginner again. I mean, where do you start? How do you go about finding out how things work? Do you clone it and then simply comment the **** out of it?
Do you guys have a system? Start the root to: see what that controller just, inspect the instance/class methods its calling, just go from there? I feel a bit overwhelmed, even by simpler projects.
