I have a light admin engine running mounted in within an app which will randomly stop working and all calls to admin routes fall back to the parent app - the app then has to be restarted for the admin routes to respond. I have found no consistent way of causing the problem, it seems to be completely arbitrary outside of the general process which is:

  • Boot app, login to admin engine (localhost:3000/admin)
  • Use admin engine, create / edit records everything is fine
  • Use front end app for an arbitrary period (could be five minutes, could be an hour)
  • Return to admin engine... fails - parent app routing used rather than engine.

  • Ruby 2.0.0p247
  • Rails 4.0.1

Engine mounted with:

mount Admin::Engine, at: '/admin', :as => :admin

I apologise for being vague, but as there are no errors I'm not really sure what other information I can provide - has anyone else ever had a similar issue?
