Hi all,

It's been only 1 week since I started learning Ruby on Rails.

My first aim was to not only make a personal website (showcases my programming experience and projects) but also add it on my resume.

However, I just realized that Rails works best for creating some 'dynamic' web application, not the 'static' website I am trying to create.

So, I am in panic now.

Give up learning Rails and start using WordPress, or keep learning Rails?

Or, is there any better way?

Sorry if this topic does not meet the purpose of this forum.

Any comment would be appreciated!

I'd learn Rails for when you want to create something that is dynamic like a web app.

I'd recommend using Jekyll or Sinatra to create a static site.
