Topic: Private Messages
Can something be done about private messages? I'm sure it can't be too hard to implement, and if it's a manpower issue, I'll be glad to code it myself; I did PHP before Rails for 4 years.

IMHO PMs are not entirely helpful on problem solving forums. If someone asks a question and its out in the public view, the answer gets reviewed and is accessible to someone else who might be having the same problem. If that falls back into PMs then you only have two people cracking away at an issue and no one else can see the answer.

You can always email someone from their profile page.
We don't really have plans to install a PM system right now but that may change in the future.
