Topic: expires_in for Rails file_store cache

I'm currently using Rails 3.2.3. I notice that specifying expires_in for write does not seem to have any effect. Using Apache to host my application, the cache entries seem to expire in a couple of minutes even though I have explicitly set it to

Sorry, somehow my previous post got truncated. So I'm posting the question again.

I'm currently using Rails 3.2.3. I notice that specifying expires_in for write does not seem to have any effect. Using Apache to host my application, the cache entries seem to expire in a couple of minutes even though I have explicitly set it to 10.days. In perusing the file activesupport-3.2.3/lib/active_support/cache/file_store.rb, I see that the method write_entry totally ignores the options parameter.

Have anyone experienced this issue? Is there a workaround? Thanks for your help.
