Topic: enable gzip compression for fonts

I got a message from Google AdSense suggesting that I should enable gZip impression on my site  to increase speed.

It says:

Compressing the following resources with gzip could reduce their transfer size by 511.8KiB (50% reduction).
•    Compressing http://****.com/.../Calibri.ttf could save 161KiB (47% reduction).
•    Compressing http://****.com/.../HelveticaNeueLTCom_MdCn.ttf could save 83KiB (55% reduction).


Could you suggest how to make this viable in rails 3.2 and serve compressed fonts from CDN
