Topic: want to learn and practice the ruby

i am new to ruby ,plz.,suggest the best books to read, and pratices,conventions to follow.
what are the fundamentals  of ruby to master it & how to practice it?
i want to install the ruby in my computer  to practice ,which version of ruby, i should install in my linux redhat OS? how should i install? plz.,inform

The best solution is to use RVM.

Read this post about getting started with ruby, but to master it - you should start implementing an idea in ruby e.g a simple command line app. (that's the best way to learn - start a mini project - on the first day).

About managing/installing ruby - use RVM or rbenv.
