Topic: Is possible to generate the layout begginig with a database?

I have a Schema in MySql with ten tables. Can I generate the scaffold from this database? In other worlds: Because I have already the full database, can I avoid to write every table and column name again just to generate the controler and views?

I don't think so,  but I haven't fully explored the changes in 3.X regarding scaffolding.   

I think the very best you could hope for is to somehow dump out ALL the column names and types,  and brut force convert it into a scaffold ready series of batch files.   Then you could get all your views with all the names,  but in the long run that might not be that much of a time saver.

I tried this on 2.X a few years ago,  and I eventually built the script to give me all the views I needed,  but eventually they were all replaced by hand written code,  I wouldn't do it again!
