Topic: Executing Perl script from Rails application (It's Urgent)

Hi everybody, hope you`ll find some time to assist...

Let me say firstly that I am very new with  Rails programming.. the application on which i am currently working is very 1st of my rails application..

In this application I have to run some perl script which returns output as an xml file .
could someone tell me how to execute perl script from my rails code ?

after trying a few hours on this problem., finally I'm done with it..

it's simple.. 
just use the syntax : system("perl code.pl")
