Kelli and I just removed over 80 spam messages -- half that included explicit pornographic images (sorry about that -- images only work for people who have posted a certain number of times, which blocks most porn spam images from being shown, but not if the spam bot posts 20+ times). 

We'll definitely look into a CAPTCHA as a band-aid until we get vB running.  Akismet unfortunately didn't work when we tried it in the past (it had a bad habit of banning all our top posters!).

I've been noticing a lot of spam on the forums recently. Hardcore porn seems to have made an appearance on every forum tonight lol. Does punbb have any spam fighting code put in place? If you don't mind I thought I'd take the liberty to point out a couple of defenses that are available.
