It would be like that if php and rails were warring companies, which they aren't in any way whatsoever. I'm a rails programmer (at the moment) but i'm not anti-php, that's just silly. They're all just tools: whatever gets the job done is appropriate.

Well, I'm starting a project to make a Rails blog system as functional as WordPress here really soon. I'll have to throw that up on GitHub as well under my profile. I do have one project on there I just haven't had time to get around to for some time called NetHelper that I'm writing in Java, if you want to check it out and contribute to that if you have some time at http://github.com/jmbrink26/nethelper/. Its using the JpCap library for all ICMP functionality.

I agree with Radar, though, weekends are precious, LOL. Its not that it can't be done, its just we all have a hard time to find time to make them happen

TBH it didn't seem tongue in cheek, people probably need to be more careful how they express themselves in writing, you can just seem like a real jerk.

Because there isn't a forum system that does everything this one does, written in Rails. I am working on something like that http://github.com/radar/rboard, but it is not my full-time job and I love the things normal people call "weekends". If you'd like to contribute, please do so.

What a terrible advert for Rails You're basically saying "We think PHP is better for running a database intensive app like a forum"...
